Saturday Chess Club

Make your move and join us on Saturday mornings for community chess play!

This welcoming, all‑ages group offers casual games for players of every level, from beginners to seasoned experts. A great opportunity for everyone — from children to seniors — to build skills and connect with fellow community members.

Come every week or drop in whenever you can. No registration required, and all equipment is provided.

Lewes Library’s chess club began when community member Ellis Richman brought players of all ages together for friendly matches at the library. Richman continues to lead the sessions each week and looks forward to welcoming both new and returning players.
