What we measure
Shop Local Delmarva measures how people use shoplocaldelmarva.com and the Shop Local app: pages and screens viewed, and actions such as tapping to call or get directions to a member business, clipping or redeeming an offer, asking or answering a question, creating an account and submitting a form. We use Google Analytics for this.
Who we share it with, and why
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) — to measure the site and app, and to measure and target our own advertising.
- Meta (the Meta Pixel and Conversions API) — to measure and target our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This can include your IP address, browser details, cookie identifiers and, when you have given it to us, your email address in hashed (scrambled) form.
Sharing browsing activity with these companies for advertising can count as "targeted advertising" or a "sale" of personal data under some state laws. We never share your mobile number or your text-message consent with Meta, Google or any other third party. We do not knowingly use data from anyone under 18 for targeted advertising.
How to opt out
- Use the button above. It applies to this browser for one year.
- Or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser (built into Brave and DuckDuckGo, and available in Firefox and as an extension). We treat that signal as an opt-out automatically, on every visit.
- Or contact us through our contact page and we will opt you out and, on request, access, correct or delete your personal data.
Opting out stops Meta and Google advertising measurement for you. Shop Local's own analytics keep running so the app and site keep working and improving.
