It was everyone’s favorite ad campaign—a cultural phenomenon that asked one simple question: Got milk? The answer was provided by a parade of the world’s biggest celebrities, all proudly wearing a white milk mustache and accompanied by ad copy extolling milk’s benefits. The campaign launched in January 1995, and, within days, it was everywhere, embedding into mainstream pop culture in a way that continues to reverberate decades later. In addition to 125 full-color, full-page portraits featuring iconic stars from movies, television, music, sports, and fashion, this book also offers exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from author Bernie Hogya, one of the ad campaign’s original creators—giving an insider’s look at what really happened on set and the moments that never made the headlines.

Bernie Hogya is an award-winning creative director who co-created the iconic Milk Mustache campaign and has written three books about it. A New York Times bestselling author, he has also written acclaimed music biographies and a tribute to Laurel and Hardy. He lives in Delaware.
