Dinner?

Recently we haven't been going out to eat quite as much. Our kids have been pretty busy with school and school sports so we have been eating at home a bit more. And the few times we have gone out I haven't gotten pictures or even felt like doing a long post even though we have had some great meals and great servers. A couple weeks ago we happened to go out for some sushi after a basketball game and as I was demolishing some rolls I saw a familiar face. It was Erik over at Hunan. I smiled and said man I didn't get any pictures tonight...he told me I know you have been slacking! We chatted for a bit and then I was back to that amazing sushi.

I have had some great meals and wonderful service and I don't know if it is the seasonal depression (since it's not fishing season) or what but I just haven't been in the mood to do it lately. I think it is because we are just running from one place to another and it seems like life is just busy. Even a few lunch meetings that I have slipped out for and had wonderful food and wonderful service I just haven't been feeling like making the posts. I guess I haven't been fishing enough lately!

Let's Go...

With the funk I have been in I just have felt like staying around the house more than ever. We did go to a place that I really wish I did a nice post for recently though. Our daughter wanted to go to a place and Erica mentioned it a few times too. Each time they have I have offered a different place. I had never been to this place and honestly just based on feedback that I got from several people as well as some things I have seen and removed from the group I wasn't really interested in trying it either.

But somehow I got out voted and off we went. I'll admit I had my expectations set pretty low. But when I walked in and was pretty surprised. The hostess was polite and the place was really clean and nice. Our waiter came over and really couldn't have been any nicer either. He got drinks...brought out our apps. When I asked for a suggestion since I was having trouble deciding on what I wanted he was all for telling me what I should get. I noticed someone walking around and checking on the other tables asking how things were...and although he didn't come over and ask me our food was fantastic. I sampled some of Erica's dinner, tried maybe a bite or two of my sons and then of course mine. Everything was great. And our server...he was great!

The only thing, and I mean the only thing that I would complain about is someone and I won't say any names forgot my food that we got a box to take home. Now again I don't want to point any fingers but can you imagine my disappointment when I went to the fridge to find that later that night and realized it was left sitting on the table!
