Delete your account
You can delete your Shop Local Delmarva account yourself, from inside the app. If you cannot get into the app, ask us and we will do it.
In the app
- Open the app and go to Mine.
- Under Your account, tap Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm and tap the button again.
It happens immediately. There is nothing to wait for and nobody to email.
What is deleted
- Your first name, mobile number and email address.
- Every offer you clipped and every one you used.
- Every device signed in to your account, and the approximate location and ZIP code kept with it.
- Your notification registrations and settings, so your phone stops receiving them.
- The record of the text-message wording you agreed to.
- The posts and people you chose to hide.
Recommendations you wrote stay up under the first name and town you agreed to show, because other neighbors are relying on them; the account behind them is gone. Ask us and we will take those down too.
The one thing kept, and why
If you ever replied STOP to one of our texts, your mobile number stays on a do-not-text list with no name or email attached. Deleting it as well would make your number look new to us, and the next time somebody typed it into a form we would start texting you again. It is used for nothing else and never shared.
