In Harmony Concert Series: Sharon Bousquet Duo
Music & nightlife
More info
Singer-Songwriter Sharon Bousquet performs both original and select cover music in the Americana, Instrumental & Soulful Folk genres. A singing guitarist with a gift of a voice, stellar songs and deep skill on the acoustic guitar, she brings vast experience, creative interpretation and a warm stage presence to every show.
Sharon Bousquet has placed songs and scored award-winning independent feature films, releasing 7 albums of original music and contributing to compilation CD projects to benefit women’s shelters and the Vancouver Children’s Hospital. In 2025 she launched Sharon Arden Books, publishing arts resource books for collage and other cut & paste processes. Bousquet Arts & Music facilitates art workshops for team building, mindfulness, art therapy and community art creation. Each book utilizes stylized graphics from Bousquet’s original nature photographs for use in collage, scrapbooking, decoupage and ink tracing. They are available on Amazon or directly from the artist.
In 2023, Sharon dreamed of creating a top-notch vocal trio with other women vocalists from Delaware who are equally skilled on their instruments, and The Sugar Maples were born. Sharon, Erin Magnin (of the Honey Badgers) and Skyler Cumbia spent the past few years playing private house concerts, fairs and regional events that allowed their extraordinary 3-part vocal blend and stellar songwriting to reach a wider audience. The Sugar Maples played their final known performance at the Sunroom Songwriter Series in Dover this past April. Sharon Bousquet calls the art colony of Arden, Delaware home, teaching private guitar, voice and songwriting lessons as well as collage art workshops.
For the November Dover Public Library performance, Sharon Bousquet will be joined by the brilliant Skyler Cumbia on violin, guitar and vocals – a rare Sugar Maples duo performance.
This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events at www.DelawareScene.com.
