Getting Stuck

The good ole' annual doctors visit! Yeah, yeah...that cowboy burger didn't help my lab work! lol It's OK I have tried the diet and exercise too many times. Now I will just eat, exercise and just take what the doc tells me. In all honestly my lab work came back pretty good. Blood pressure was good. I was pretty happy!! But after talking with the nurse practitioner I was seeing I told her that I had been having some joint pain that I hadn't had before after they had bumped back up my meds. This is a balancing game. I mean I was taking the lowest dose for a couple years and it seemed to be good. A couple years ago they increased it up a little and then it seemed like that was too much so we lowered it again to the lowest dose. Well 6 months ago they wanted to take it back up.

Err... so over the past couple of months I really have felt a few areas that are a bit more sore than normal. So I brought that up and I said look it isn't a big deal and I can just work though it if everything else looks good. We decided I would go for more blood work to make sure there wasn't anything else going on. OK. At least I didn't have to fast this time! But I was also instructed to stop taking the medication and note my pain levels. She also added to just try to eat better! Has she been seeing my posts! :)

So the next morning I go in to Labcorp again. I did the self check in and waited to be called. Saw a friendly face and made some small talk with a great friend and customer. It seems almost every time I am in there I see someone I know. It's my turn as I am giving my information I can see they are quite busy and I just say yeah back again. And the nice lady said you must like us head on to room number 1.

I walk in to room number 1 and sit down and a nice lady walks in and sees my shirt and says I used to be with you. I replied well I am sorry you aren't anymore and I sure hope we didn't do anything wrong. She said absolutely not...I loved your office and everyone there while she was sticking me. I asked her which office she went to and she told me the one in Salisbury and she said you know what I am going to give you guys a call back. I said well we would love that. Before I made it in to that office she had already called. That really made my day.

I always try to say how important it is to leave things on good terms and talk about that quite often at my offices but this example really drove it home. If this super nice lady had left under bad terms not only might she really of jabbed me, do you think she would have ever called us back to give us another shot?

Delmarva really is a small place and we bump into people all of the time all over our community that we interact with. I have met so many people from our group that I feel like I have known for years. Well actually it has been a few years!!
