FLC Energy just wrapped up this crawlspace in a flood-zone!

They’ve just finished spray-foaming the underside of a home in a challenging flood-zone area. Instead of trying to condition a crawlspace prone to flooding, we chose a more innovative approach.

Permanent Protection:

By applying spray foam insulation to the bottom of the sub-floor and floor joists, FLC has created a durable insulation layer that acts as an air and moisture barrier. This not only prevents moisture from entering the home but also ensures the insulation remains effective, without the risk of damage from below.

Why It Matters:

Our experience shows that spray foaming both the sub-floor and the floor joists is crucial. It prevents the swelling and contraction of floor joists, which can cause problems for the floor inside the house.
