 -01/
DESCRIPTION:In-Person or Online\nJoin Spanish speakers 18 to improve your
Spanish-speaking skills. Basic Spanish conversational ability is required.
\nNOTE: this is not a traditional class. It is a group of people who alrea
dy speak some Spanish\, or who have studied some Spanish\, or who are now
taking some classes elsewhere. Members include retirees\, college students
\, and others who have a range of Spanish speaking abilities. Members of t
he group make suggestions as to what we might do in future classes. There
is usually a ‘homework’ assignment preparing each person to talk in Sp
anish for 2 to 3 minutes to the group. There are icebreakers\, games\, and
invited guests who speak on various topics. Each week is different. Nearl
y all of the discussions are in Spanish. The group is very informal\, frie
ndly\, and there is no pressure to participate.\nNOTE: this session is ava
ilable to attend in-person or through Zoom. You MUST REGISTER and indicate
which you prefer. \nIf you need assistance with registration or getting y
our Zoom invitation\, please email the library.\nBasic written instruction
s for using Zoom may be found here and a brief video tutorial may be found
here. Closed captioning is available for all our sessions. Information on
enabling closed captioning in Zoom may be found here.\n\nhttps://shoploca
