DESCRIPTION:Born and raised in Philadelphia Pennsylvania\, guitarist Matt R
 ichards grew up in the culturally fertile cross-currents of the 1960s. His
  musical pathway opened in the mix of folk\, rock and psychedelic music th
 at defined that decade and eventually drew him into the hyperactive jazz-f
 usion of the 1970s.\nInitially a self-taught player\, Matt earnestly devel
 oped the technically advanced musical abilities necessary to be part of th
 at highly-energized genre. As his musicianship developed\, he discovered s
 traight-ahead jazz and began incorporating the acoustic guitar in various 
 projects. \nDuring the pandemic lockdown Matt self-produced and released P
 ower Trio Project featuring bass guitarist Tony Donato and drummer Paul Al
 brecht. He also began composing and producing a wide range of music for so
 undtracks and film scores.\nThis program is supported\, in part\, by a gra
 nt from the Delaware Division of the Arts\, a state agency\, in partnershi
 p with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware
