LOCATION:Multi-Purpose Room A\, Dover Public Library

 -the-civil-war-2026-10-14/
DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, Dan Pritchett of the Osher Lifelong Lear
ning Institute will focus on four remarkable men whose stories have largel
y been forgotten---or never really told: two white officers\, who despite
being southerners\, stayed loyal to the United States and were instrumenta
 l in securing a Union victory\; and two African-Americans\, whose heroic a
chievements in fighting for their country and for freedom should have made
them household names and legendary American heroes. As we observe the 25
0th anniversary of the Declaration of American Independence\, it is always
good to look back in appreciation to those who made this celebration poss
 ible.\n\nhttps://shoplocaldelmarva.com/events/greatest-patriots-unsung-her
