New Year's Eve Ball Drop is Back in Downtown Salisbury!

December 29, 2022

It’s time to ring in the New Year right with the 9th annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, presented by Gillis Gilkerson. Rev up those noisemakers and get ready for a night filled with live music from the AMP Studios, Wavvy Gravy, DJ B-Side and Marlee plus a ball drop and confetti at midnight! The event is on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 9 p.m. to just after midnight. New Year’s Eve SBY Ball Drop is a free, all-ages, family-friendly event.

This year's New Year’s Eve Ball Drop will be located back near the intersection of Main Street and N. Division Street, complete with a full stage, and a 4.5-foot-wide ball lit with thousands of LED lights. The outdoor stage will feature a jumbo-tron countdown screen plus confetti and the ball drop at midnight, lowered by the Salisbury Fire Department tower truck. Beer and wine will be available for purchase outside and local food trucks That Kitchen and Sandy’s "Dog"-Gone Good Eats will be on site offering warm drinks and snacks. Free parking will be available in the parking garage.

Downtown Salisbury restaurants will be open with great dinner options and live entertainment. Roadie Joe’s will be offering a specially curated 2-can-dine menu or order your favorites off the regular menu plus live music starting at 10 p.m. with The Mercury Agenda. Mogan’s Oyster House will be open serving dinner starting at 4 p.m. with reservations recommended and extended bar hours. Mojo’s and Market Street will both be serving dinner from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and check out the Holiday Gift Card sale going on now through Dec 30th, with bonus cards good at both restaurants. Brew River will be ringing in the New Years with live entertainment starting at 8 p.m. featuring Best Kept Soul and DJ Bubbalou. Plus, check out Breathe Interiors, open late from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a Make-Your-Own Resolution/ Manifest bottle workshop open to all ages, prices vary.
