Lion King Jr coming soon to the historic Mar-Va theater

It's so exciting that live theater has been coming back to schools and community arts programs these days, so be sure to support the kids and organizations who are keeping the arts alive on Delmarva! There are many local performances you'll be able to catch this spring, but if you have never been to the historic Mar-Va Theater, the atmosphere is an experience in itself.

Don't miss the upcoming live performance which will be Disney's Lion King Jr presented by Theater Academy of Delmarva.

This talented group of kids and teens has been wowing audiences with performances that are extraordinary for their ages.

Director Mary Mahler has quite a background in theater and appreciates the fulfillment of helping kids learn how to shine on stage.

You may remember this group's outstanding 2021 performance of Disney's Frozen Jr.

The Lion King Jr show will transport you to the savanna with dozens of animals filling the theater in the powerful Circle of Life number. Then enjoy the drama of a jealous brother plotting to take over the throne, until a young prince grows up and finds the courage to save his pridelands. You'll laugh at the antics of Timon and Pumba and be swept away in the young romance of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight".

The entire experience will be fun for the whole family. Show dates will cover two weekends with evening and matinee options.
