AMP Studios: A Delmarvalous Delight

Do you have a young adult who is a musician? Do they need lessons? Do they need something... more? AMP (Academy of Music Performance) Studios in downtown Salisbury is the answer. Owners Gino and Susan Bailey, came up with the idea for AMP when they realized there weren't a lot of places to perform outside of school classroom type settings. They founded AMP in 2013 and created the first music school of its kind in the Salisbury area, currently located at One Plaza East in downtown Salisbury.

There are a multitude of offerings available at AMP, everything from private lessons, to their stage ready band program which helps develop students in how to practice, play, and perform as a group. Their professional instructors have strong musical backgrounds to help each individual find their musical potential., including using professional sound system equipment. Whether on an actual stage built at the AMP Studio for practice and rehearsals, or at live performances, an actual sound engineer is there to help mix sound. And yes, many of the bands have performed at venues and festivals all over the eastern shore. Bands like Arcade, Major Minors, and many more! They even have an Adult Jam band, for those *slightly* older kids like myself. Which, by the way, has morphed into its own band called Dad Jokes.

Shameless plug: Dad Jokes happens to be playing this Saturday night, Oct 30th, from 6-9pm at Roadie Joe's downtown. If you are in the mood for some great 80's and 90's rock and pop, come check us out.
